How to Apply for our scholarship
Fill out the basic scholarship application details below to be considered for financial assistance with higher education. Your application will be reviewed, and if you are selected you will be invited to participate in an interview with a North Carolina Empowering Kids and Communities Foundation staff member.

- Please provide a brief summary about yourself and your background (200-1,000 words)
- We expect our students to integrate their learning with meaningful extracurricular experiences. Pick a beyond-the-classroom activity where you have taken initiative and tell us more about your involvement. Share what you have learned from your experience. (200-1,000 words)

- If you are a recipient of a scholarship, how will this scholarship impact your college experience?
- What do you plan to major in and why?
- Please share one failure that has had a large impact on your life.
- Describe where you see yourself 10 years from now?
- Describe a challenge you have overcome.
- Describe an experience or a person who has impacted your life in a positive way.
