The Empower Foundation

NCEKCF has established a new partnership with The Empower Foundation, located in Durham North Carolina. We believe this new partnership is a great investment to make dance more accessible to others, regardless of financial limitations. Dance has many benefits and we want to partner with organizations to bring dance to different communities.

The Foundation is associated with the Empower Dance Studio, owned by Nicole Oxendine. We were able to sit down with Nicole, and it is clear from our conversation her passion for sharing dance with others goes far beyond the four walls of the studio. Over the past few years, Nicole and her team have been able to bring dance into the local community through outdoor and school classes.

We had the opportunity to attend the Empower dance recital in June. The recital was an excellent culmination of all the hard work the students have been putting in throughout the year. The show exhibited a balance of grace, technique, and great showmanship. We are excited to have started this partnership, and look forward to seeing the impact of helping make dance more accessible to others.
